In the waiting room area, there is screen that displays hot topics in the medical arena for patients to view and learn. In addition, there is a tablet with headphones in the waiting area that shows videos about procedures, different GI and liver diseases, and provides patients an opportunity to check out any questions that they may have in the waiting area.

Upper endoscopy, also known as esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), is a procedure we use to examine the lining of the esophagus, stomach, and upper part of the small intestine. Our anesthesia staff administers IV conscious sedation to our EGD patients to ensure a comfortable, safe, and pain-free experience.
